Success is a matter of joy

It’s almost the end of this tiring Monday (but tell me, which Monday isn’t tiring?), and I wanted to both end this day and start the new week with something that inspired me today.

It’s no secret that Emma and I are working hard to become pro, in particular in the field of fine art wedding photography. We simply love telling the story of one of the most amazing days in your life through photos, create something beautiful and give the couple something that will make them remember those moments with joy.

Starting anew is not an easy job. There are so many things to think about and plan. Then change plan and do something you had not thought about. It’s thrilling and exciting, but it can also be exhausting and depressing at times. We sometimes get so caught up in all those business-profit-money thoughts that we almost forget why we started it all. And there’s only one reason why we are making it happen: unconditional love for photography, and good wedding photography.

Some great photographers out there are making a terrific job, and taking wedding photography to an upper level.  They are an inspiration and a ray of hope when dark thoughts cross our minds.

Today it was Jasmine Star with her post on defining your own personal goals and defining what success is for you, and only for you. Because you can be inspired by other people, but what you are doing is unique and it’s only you the judge of your personal success. Not others, nor money.

And it was Jonas Peterson, remembering us all that photography surely means hard work, but it’s also a joy, and so must remain.

Hope you have a great week! 🙂
