Some time ago I wrote about the French photographer JR and his artistic work all around the world “wallpapering” cities with portraits of their citizens. We could see fabelas with eyes and walls mixing representatives of different religions in areas where religion is an excuse for conflict.
JR shows faces and makes cities a bit more human.
My friend Miki (check his flickr ) told me about JR’s new project: Inside Out in which you are asked to participate. You just need to take a portrait, send it to him and he’ll send you back a large print which you’ll have to place somewhere in your community and take a picture of it. Check out the website for more information and to participate!
I’m already thinking where I’ll place the picture…
